I sit
in the stand
watching my wrestler compete.
My wrestler is alone on the mat.
I cannot protect my wrestler.
When he or she wins, my wrestler is
truly proud.
When he or she loses, my wrestler stands
tall.
I sit
in the stands
watching my wrestler
grow tall, strong, and
brave enough to walk alone.
When my wrestler wins, I am truly proud.
When my wrestler loses, I stand firm.
I sit
in the stand watching over my child
as the season draws to a close.
As my wrestler walks away,
tall, strong and brave . . .
he or she turns to wave goodbye.
How
proud I am of the man or woman my
wrestler has become.
